A few days ago, our colleague Manuel Ruiz visited our clients in Greece. It was a busy, fascinating and extremely productive week. It’s very important to visit from time to time the people you usually communicate with via email, WhatsApp or phone calls, because you come to understand many things that you wouldn’t grasp otherwise. In this phase of life where everything is screens, distance, convenience and 100% comfort, we believe that human contact, face-to-face conversations, a meal together, a handshake, remain of vital importance. In fact, every time we do this, we come away with the feeling that we’ve made progress, achieved more in a single trip than in a month of calls, messages and video conferences.
Human relationships, both in business and in life in general, are vital. And for these relationships to be fulfilling, we believe that face-to-face interaction is essential. At least, from time to time. No matter how distant a culture may be, it’s always nice, even if just once, to share a good meal and, with it, many impressions. After all, we are human beings.
